Twitter Follow Rules and Exceptions

We are all a-twitter about twitter – and I get it, totally. Very simply… twitter rocks!

I find out about earthquakes, that Partick Swayze is alive and what cool stuff is going down on Mars before any of it hits the traditional news wire.

And thanx to @oprah, @cnn, and @aplusk everyone is doing the twitter bug.

About Me:

I am native Texan passionately in love with Houston. I have been creating online and print creative design work for clients for going on 13 years now. I am a traditional (and messy) artist who loves BIG canvases. I love to create just about anything from recipes to crochet to crafts to clothes to jewelry, soap, candles, and stained glass. I LOVE Christmas and the beach. I live a spiritual life and try to make a conscious connection with my Higher Power everyday. Some would consider me a bleeding heart – tree hugging – liberal… I would say I have a very, very large heart. I am riduculously happily married to @lassberg and totally devoted to our boys @AK_ZMan.

I will not follow you if:

• You are a  social media or marketing guru, maven, wizard, or coach
  • And just a note: if you are a social media expert with NO links to social media content or tools in your twitter stream – your not
  • If you are a real wizard that’s totally different and I will totally follow you!
• If you mention “income stream” – its not happening
• If you want to “help me make money” – no.
• If you are a company I don’t like and don’t want to buy stuff from
  • If you are a cool company, doing cool shit, I might not buy from you – but I will follow you and send you lots of tweet love
• If you are not @askdrding and are not a crowned beauty pagent scholarship tournament winner and you have a tiara in your profile pic… um… no
  • If you are a parrot wearing a tiara AND you fill-in you profile data… I might follow you – you know who you are
  • If you are a dog of any kind wearing a tiara – I will TOTALLY follow you
• If your entire twitter stream is #followFriday links, its not happening
• I can’t believe I am actually typing this – if your link in your profile is to a myspace page- nuff said
  • If you are a band with a link to your myspace page… sigh… well maybe – but come on! Get a blog!
