#best09 cont… December 15 Best packaging. Did your headphones come in a sweet case? See a bottle of tea in another country that stood off the shelves?

03121iFound THE cutest packaging for Salt Water Taffy (one of my all times fav candies… its the one I will cross the aisle and break the “if it ain’t chocolate it ain’t worth it” rule.) I am sucker for Salt Water Taffy… I can’t even describe how cool I think it is to visit the Ice Cream Bar on The Strand in Dickenson, TX on days they are making Taffy… its SO cool.

I came across an all natural Salt Water Taffy this year at Whole Foods packaged very similiarly to the Sweet Candy Company twists shown here. We all went ga-ga for the packaging here at the Schipul Office. Its not often that someone comes up with packaging for a product that we even notice… let alone stop and talk about.

I am claiming 2010 as a big year in my life. I am putting together the list of things I want to accomplish… from dying my hair something outrageous… to starting my illustrated book… to getting back to a healthy BMI… the list is just taking shape. 2010 is the year big positive amazing changes will occur.

My sis’n'law posted this video on Facebook this morning and I decided to use it as the tool to help me focus my dreams and lay the foundation for positive change in the new year.

So, this is my plan from now until Jan 1, 2010. I will watch this Visual Affirmation in the beginning part of my day and then tag my day in the comments.

I am open to whatever shift occurs from this experiement… I do know that one result will be a much, much more positive attitude around each day that will grow and frame this next year.

shineAt the beginning of 2008, I had the great fortune to participate in a week long workshop focused on the archetypal energies women call upon in our lives. The mother archetype holds the energy for creation. Anytime we as women focus on bringing something new into the world, whether it be a child or a product or  a book or blog or a — fill in the blank — we call on the mother archetype inside.

Women are positively radiant when they talk about their creations… me included.

The start of many a conversation at Mom 2.0 was like any other networking function where strangers collide under the common umbrella of a conference’s theme… a bit dry, a little awkward, a dash of soooo… what to you do? And time and time again when the conversation turned to our kiddos’/new company’s/new book’s/etc.  latest and greatest milestone the tone completely changed, the woman I was talking to literally shined. I was over-joyed and honored to witness it time and time again this weekend.

Which leads me to my #2 Take Away…

(Thanx to d’n'c’s for the pic)
